Between being grateful & escaping that comfort zone

Bismillah.

Entering the year 2018, was like entering a new life phase. A new opportunity came in when every thing seems so perfect for me at the moment; my life, my job, my social life. I have to make a big decision, whether to just be grateful with what I already have and refuse the offer, or to be grateful and move on for something full with uncertainties, again.

This route full with uncertainties is a route where I have to start all over again to gain people's trusts, learn new things and surrounded with new faces. But, this route enables me to be close with my parent, and all the events happened around the corner seem leading to this. The last time I experienced such was the moment I received the job interview offer and job offer from my first employer. I was not as confident as last time, but somehow I wanted to have faith in all these again. To have faith that Allah has planned all these for me.

Making the big move was not easy. The things I left behind were so dear to me. Often, I doubted my decision. Often, I blamed others for making me taking this decision, when I do not even know yet what exactly awaits me. When I thought about all these deeply, I have made all these worldly matters too close to my heart when all these should be focusing on serving Allah. This decision was indeed the best for me, inshaAllah. It is time for me to re-arrange my life priorities. And, most importantly, I was the one who made the decision.

I pray that Allah makes things easy for me, even if they might difficult, I could still overcome them. Pray that this route is the right one, the decision is something to be grateful of. Because this route is full with uncertainties for now, and I am escaping my comfort zone for a better me inshaAllah.

Rabbi yassir wala tu'assir.

Self-realization

Bismillah.

All praises to Allah for all the rizq He has given me.

These few weeks, I have been tested with things, which I could say, led me to understand myself more. The road towards self-reflection;

On my career direction
On my working purpose
On my life purpose

I have been tested with what I currently have. How much that I am grateful with the things I have; my age, status, physicals, job, family,  friends.

I came to a realization that marriage is not the only issue to be thought about. There are far more important ones out there, waiting for me to reach out to.

While we are too occupied with the worries of not finding our another half, we forgot to worry about others. Are not we too selfish? There are hunger, unemployment, natural disasters, wars, poverty happening right now.

While I keep on complaining about my job, and envying on what others' do, I forgot that there are many others who are envying on what I do, wishing to have what I have.

While I keep my mind occupied with other external bounties to be thank of, I forgot that He has been giving me health and complete set of functioning body and organs since my birth.

All in all, our usrah's liqa' today touched on the concept of rizq. He knows best. We might feel that it is unfair that some people get more while others get less. But, all this is up to Him. We do not deserve to question Him. All these things are His. We need to accept it, make full use of them, and ask Him to give what is best for us. He is indeed, As-Samee, The All-Hearing.

Hati yang melihat mendengar

Bismillah..

Few thoughts rushed into my mind these days. Re-pondering things surrounding me. Had the thoughts before, long ago, it just recently that they came in again. I am glad they came back.

Just realized that I have stopped seeing and listening... Orang Melayu kata, melihat, mendengar dengan mata hati. This is what I meant. Realized that I have became just like most people, travelling but not really seeing the world. I focused more on capturing the moments in photos rather than in memory. Sad truths indeed.

I asked Allah, always, to only test with things that I can handle. He did test me with such, several times. But, still, I often failed. Failed in managing my anger, my emotions, my words. Failed in managing my time, observing my prayers. Astaghfirullah..

It has been months since we had our last liqa'. Really grateful to have one today, even a small one. That grateful to the extend that I felt like crying, no, I cried, during the liqa'. I have been away from remembering Him. But, He is still there, with me.

For some people, blogging is for others to read. But, for me, this blog is actually for myself. To remind myself back of such moments like this. When I fail, but He still lift me up.

Hanyut..How long it has been?

Bismillah..

I was surprised by myself that I still remember the existence of this blog.
How long it has been?

I was surprised by myself that I have been this far...'hanyut'...
How long it has been?

I am too occupied to prove myself to the world...yang sebenarnya hanya sia-sia...when I fail to highlight myself to The Almighty.
How long it has been?

I am too eager to be seen by people..yang sebenarnya tidak memandang pun..when I am nothing to Him.
How long it has been?

This is the moment,
when I miss the old me, that feeling, that conscience and positivism I used to have.

Kenapa logam?
Ada apa pada logam?
Sehinggalah dihulurkan di depan mata, hadis LOGAM

Setelah sekian lama, cari gali, logam kekuatan diri,

Inilah dia, alat untuk matlamatku

Aku mahu jadi seperti Abu Ubaydah al-Jarrah
-Kepercayaan ummat ini-

Besar cita-cita
Mampukah?

Biarlah Islam dalam diri ini berbicara

Rasulullah ﷺ bersabda :

Maksud: “Manusia seperti logam; terpilihnya semasa jahilliyan; terpilihnya semasa islam; jika mereka ‘faham’.”
[HR Bukhari]-Drpd Abu Hurairah r.a.

Husnudzon...susah

Apabila setiap persoalan bertemu kebuntuan,
namun si dia tidak hadir menunjuki jalannya..

Bermacam mainan syaitan di kepala..

Justeru, untuk husnudzon...
Jelas, bukanlah mudah.
Tapi, dia juga manusia..seperti aku..

Harapanku, semoga ujian 'husnudzon' ini berjaya aku lepasi..

Ribut apakah

I was wrong.. Though being alone is part of me, it doesn't mean that I have to always be alone. I have supportive friends by my side, who always cheer me up, motivate me, help me, advise me and accompany me at times that I need them. Indahnya berukhuwah kerana Allah.. Kita tend to do something to help our sisters facing the challenges in life. Senang sama-sama, susah sama-sama..

Benar, "From failure, we learn a lot. From success, not so much" (Meet the Robinsons). So sweet..

Tinggal sebulan?

Sabarlah wahai hati!

# Jazakillah khair, Kak :)

"Ketika masalah datang,
Allah tidak meminta kita
memikirkan jalan keluar hingga penat.
Allah hanya meminta kita sabar dan shalat."
(buku 'Perempuan Pencari Tuhan')

Orang Asing

Rasulullah s.a.w. pernah bersabda:

"Islam tersebar dalam keadaan dagang (asing)
Dan ia akan kembali asing
Maka beruntunglah orang-orang yang asing."
(Riwayat Abu Hurairah)

Everyday, are we who we are?

Salam 'alaik..

We
often forgot..

Regardless what we do
where we are
at whatever time
that
He is always there
watching us
....

Do we live today by our own effort?
So, why are we so arrogant to live our life
as if we are alive because of ourselves?

Remember, my dear friends..
that LIFE has its purpose
like we won't do things simply for nothing
Allah definitely didn't make us simply for nothing..

So, live as a true servant of HIM
as HIS khalifah
as part of the Ummah..
for it is not Allah Who needs our service
but it is us who really in need of His Blessings
as EVERYTHING belongs to Him

So, ask ourselves
Will us be still alive,
breathing
healthily
without His BLESSINGS?

Be grateful....to Allah....Alhamdulillah...

1st day of 'Tarbiyyah'? opps, its 2013

Salam 'alaik..

Alhamdulillah..its the 1st day in 2013. I did not planned to update this blog because "Its New Year, babe!"..No...Unlike everyone else who posts comments regarding this new year, and some even counted down the moment to enter this new year last night, I spent my night, resting, after my second exam paper. So, basically, I entered this 2013 with no specific plan or mission coming across my mind, at first. But suddenly, some kind of feeling attacked me this morning which forces me to think, "What can I do?"...

What can I do? yes..What is it that I am capable to do? Specifically, as a 'da'ie' in this very long road not taken by most people. It has been some while since I realized my 'da'ie' job. But, only today that  I strongly feel that merely joining an 'usrah' and the 'mukhayyam's are just not enough for me. Merely volunteering myself for programmes and exhibitions are simply not enough. I do realize that my 'input' or knowledge in Islam is still not enough compared to my friends and even my usrah'mates'. But, with this very little little thing about Islam that I have inside of me, I need to, have to, give it all out to the people surrounds me.How? That's why the first question came across my mind. What can I do?

While some people are very talented and gifted with powerful ideas on putting things into great sentences, I am not that kind of person. Even my words that I utter are not great words to attract people. But, I really need to do something. I have a lot of imagination happening in my head, I still cannot find the means to make them happen. May this year, I manage to find what I am capable of...insyaAllah..

By the way, I started to grow interest in reading, which is a very good thing for me.Hopefully, it would last this time.

Things around this week

Salam 'alaik..

There is nothing much to be told actually...ye ke?ok, first of all, my final exam will be starting very soon.my preparation?just like previous semesters, I make a schedule on what to revise for each day in the month of final exam. And just like before, I still have to drag few chapters to the next day, and the next next day and so on due to my POOR time management..huhu...dear me,when is it that you want to change?

Ok, enough about the exam. I went to two talks by Dr Hafidzi Mohd Noor regarding the issues of the Muslim ummah.I'm so fallen in love with his personality, knowledge and his talks..

Mmmm, what's next? ok, I started to grow interest in my usrah and all this tarbiyyah things.People always get scared of the word 'Tarbiyyah'-just like I used to.. They said that it is like something EXTREME...
NOoooooo...Tarbiyyah is not extreme. It is so 'soft' and calming that I often cried because I got touched by its sweetness...Awwww....

Oh ya,one more thing, someone told me that I am as sweet as DENA BAHRIN...ehem ehem...excuse me?Am I listening the right thing?hahah...ok, honestly, I am not sure either I should be proud and thankful with that or otherwise...maybe I should be hoping for a fairy tale just like what DENA BAHRIN has..
Ok my dear ME.Its time to stop wasting your time and push that 'START' button to continue with your revision...enough with the day dreaming...huhu...Dreaming is sooooo ME..

Bicara buku?

Salam 'alaik..
ok, I admit that I should have posted about this long time ago.but, sorry lah....lupa la pulak..since I want to say things about books today, why don't I just include the two things together...hahahh..dasar pemalas!!

First of all, notice the books below?ok, these are the books or things which I bought by my 1Malaysia book coupons sometime in March.I have another RM150 left at that time.Fortunately there was a book fair by MPH at the Convention Centre just beside the Zenith Hotel...whoaahhhh!!!
(we visited the ladies room at the hotel's lobby >_<).
For those who hasn't know me very much yet, books and me, so not a very good couple.revision books, yeah, maybe...but not novels and blahblahblahh...but then, I bought all these..Even though I did begin with some of these, but none has been completed.huhu...so typical me.by the way, I gave some of these to my family members. So, the actual number of MY books is not this much..heheh

Ok, done with the first story..Next, notice the stack of papers below? These are my textbooks and notes which I really have to finish but I don't.Mind that these do not include the real textbooks-which are not in photocopied forms.gathering all these, I notice that I have learnt soooo much things throughout my 2 years of studies here but how much actually that I have gained and understood as well as practised?insaf... T_T sobsobssss...

so, the lesson here, learn by heart, not just for the sake of exam.learn for the sake of Allah? if I really do, you really do LEARN FOR ALLAH's sake, you would learn by heart and would be able to remember or explain learnt things everytime being asked....take that!! DUSHHHH

Save it, Dear..

Salam 'alaik...

Huhu...it has been a while since my last post.I have been tightly bound to responsibilities which need to be settled on time.Actually, having no idea to write in here was part of the reasons..ngeh ngeh ngeh... Currently, I read about this girl, newly wed, with great love story. Or I love to put it as fairy tale..I really hope that I could have such fairy tale as well.But believe it or not, its real.Its nothing fiction but due to its rareness within the community, I label it as fairy tale.Plus, the story is so so soooo sweet.Praying that Allah would help me to apply these;

Girls, protect your dignity, your heart and guys, please protect the girl you love. Please save your love story. Choose someone to marry, not someone for you to only walk around and be happy.

"10 Muwasafat Tarbiyyah"...uihh, what’s that?

That was exactly my first impression when I first heard about it. At first I only thought, “Ahh, another list of things..No need to bother or think so much about it...” But then, after I went through one by one of the points, I realized that they are not ordinary points. They are points with wisdom behind them. Stop being too literature laaa!!! Just say it straightly...Ok ok....

Let me first list the points. They are
  • Widely knowledgeable
  • True aqidah
  • Excellent akhlaq
  • Good time management
  • True ibadah
  • Organized in all matters
  • Strong and healthy body
  • Independent
  • Resistant to temptations
  • Generous
Notice something great about all these points? They complete us and prepare us in becoming perfect muslims.

Yeah, its right there is no one who is perfect in this world. But it is never wrong to struggle to be one, and instead, it is better to. Remember, hijrah is towards something or becoming someone better!

After knowing the points, I begin to learn for the sake of Allah-even though sometimes my intention deviated T_T ...When I learn something, I would try my best to understand instead of just memorize for exams..Believe me that when we start to understand something, you will grow interest in it..Never and never think that you have no time to learn about fields other that what you are currently in. Everyone has 24 hours per day..Even the sahabah during the Prophet's time too..So, there should be no excuse...

"Winners don't make excuses when the other side plays the game."
(Quoted from the Suits, Season 1)

So, it is actually all about time management..Show to the people around you, that you have control of your own self...People whose time is not properly managed are weak since they cannot control their own activities. This include control over your 'nafsu' or desires. It is a great feeling once you are able to control yourself from certain desires-the inappropriate ones.

Allah loves strong muslims over weak ones..This is because a strong muslim can do a lot of great things. Thus, we really need strong selves; not only physically, but also internally-which includes our faith, ibadah and akhlaq. With good moral values and being able to stand on our own feet by not depending on other people-mind that we still have to depend on Allah since all we have right now won't be ours without Allah's will.

With all these, who can argue that Muslims cannot be perfect? Want to know what I do ever since I learnt the points? I started to challenge myself to do great and new things. I force myself to leave my comfort zone to do things that I won't do before. I leave my ego behind to gain experiences. They are hard, but never be impossible. Allah is in control of everything and as long we struggle for it, insyaAllah He will show us the light.

But, mind you, that often that I lost to my own desires and temptations in my surrounding. Often that feel lazy in my ibadah and studying... T_T...Nah, how weak I am..I am still in my crawling period towards perfectionism as a muslim...May Allah shows me the light, always...

Love these two

Salam 'alaik..

'Jangan sibuk mencari, tapi menjadilah'/ Don't bother to find one, but instead become one
- applies in matters of finding soul mate and colleagues. Often that we are too bother in finding the perfect partner or friends who suit with us. Some are busy finding pious man or woman to be their partner. Why must busy looking when Allah has already promised that;

"Vile women are for vile men, and vile men are for vile women; and good women are for good men, and good men are for good women"
(Surah an-Nur 24:26)

So, make yourself busy in becoming a perfect one, instead of expecting others to be one.

Dear 'you' out there,
who I do not know yet,
please make yourself busy in improving yourself,
your iman, amal and akhlaq,
for I am trying too.
so that when the time comes,
for us to meet each other,
we are both among the people,
who are in their routes
towards the perfection of iman
and are completing each other...
InsyaAllah....

Preventing is better than curing
-It applies to diseases. But also, in our deeds. How? Do you know that we have a heart? Of course we do. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) once said as narrated by Abu Hurairah;

“When the Mu’min sins, a black spot forms on his heart. If he makes istighfaar and taubah, the black mark is removed and his heart is purified. If he increases his sin, the black mark increases. This is the corrosion of the heart spoken of by Allah Ta’ala (in the Qur’an)
(Ahmad, Tirmizi, Ibn Majah)

Every time we do sin, a dark spot appears in our heart. When we keep on doing sins, a lot more spots appear. Even though we repented, the spot disappears but the stain is still there. The effect of our previous sins would affect ourselves or the people around us bit by bit.

So, its better to refrain ourselves from committing sins rather than regretting after committing them. But bear in mind than we would never be able to escape from committing sins as we are not perfect. So, always repent and turn to Allah, although you think you do not commit any sin, cause sometimes we just cannot realize it. Even the Prophet himself istighfar for more than 70 times each day...

'Sabr'! You are needed here

Salam 'alaik..

Things happened this week, and some are still. Regardless how big or small they are, how hard or easy for us to face them, always turn to Allah.. Remember that they are all tests from Him as signs that He loves us. Do not make yourself busy thinking about the problems, but do think of the 'hikmah' (hidden goodness) from them. Turn to Allah, and share the tears and sadness with Allah..

Dear me,
These few weeks are really hectic, tiring and stressful.
But they are not the reasons for me to give up so easily.
Know that Allah has planned all these for me,
Not to just accept them as they are without doing nothing,
But to face them with courage and sabr (patience).
May Allah give me the strength to handle them,
In the best way I could..
InsyaAllah

Love the Dark

Salam 'alaik..

Oh, I love to see the sky at night. The moon and the stars. Subhanallah, such great creations that our Lord had created. I wonder if there is a place where I can sit quietly and alone, but safe, to watch the stars..To have my private moments with the stars. Oh, I know nothing about them but I do appreciate their existence and beauty.. All praises to Allah Who created all these..

Having to see the sky, the moon and the stars, gives me some kind of pleasure, peace, calm, and a strong feeling deep in my heart, of the Greatness of Allah's creation. How Powerful Allah is. Having to watch all these makes me feel how weak I am. Makes me wonder, do I deserve to have the opportunity to watch these every night, with all the sins that I have made, that I still make?Verily, Allah is the Most Merciful..

I love to see the beach, and hear the sound of the waves and the birds uttering zikr (praises) to Allah. Having private moments with all these could make me bursts into tears... Such emotional effects they have on me... Subhanallah...

Lo! In the creation of the heavens and the earth and (in) the difference of night and day are tokens (of His Sovereignty) for men of understanding,

Such as remember Allah, standing, sitting, and reclining, and consider the creation of the heavens and the earth, (and say): Our Lord! Thou createdst not this in vain. Glory be to Thee! Preserve us from the doom of Fire.

(Surah al-Imran 3:190-191)

A Lil' Bit More...Come on, PUSH PUSH

Salam 'alaik..

Time2 exam ni biasalah ada turun naik dlm motivasi diri..especially after tgk carry marks (CAM) yg x seberapa..tapi janganlah kita dok layan je motivasi yg semakin merundum tu...push up balik motivasi diri jgn sampai dah sampai down sgt..nanti memakan diri.

Lepas motivate org lain,tiba2 rasa diri ni kurang motivasi pula.tu yang datang idea nk tampal notes tu banyak2.kasi REMINDER kat diri ni..

Introducing.....jeng jeng jeng

Salam 'alaik..

I don't know what others think about her.but I think she is so cute with her scarf.SHE? yes, she.suddenly, she becomes a she.huhu....I was so excited finding the right scarf for Ms Papatoetoe since morning...haha..bolehlah,pakai handkerchief pon ok jelah. So,everyone knows what I want to write in this post right now, right?

HIJAB

Some people are just so sensitive about this topic...so, should we be sensitive also about it? Of course! it is something that has been made a must for Muslim women...yeah,let me emphasize it again. A must for Muslim women. Sounds harsh, isn't it?I know.sorry..but HIJAB is not something that is so hard and it is not even burdensome..well,maybe for the beginners, they might feel a lil' bit hard in wearing a hijab and keep it consistent..but, GO GIRL!!! you will get used to wearing it soon...and soon, when you start to ponder the deeper meaning of wearing it, you would feel PROUD wearing a hijab..insyaAllah...

Well, I am so not the right person to give a hukm or elaborating dalil s on this matter-well,not yet. so, what am I going to talk about here?hmmmmm.....

Maybe a bit of my experience in wearing hijab...

I started wearing a hijab since, I guess year 3 of primary school.but I was not consistent at that time.just wearing it whenever I went to school. I began to wear it consistently when I reached my puberty age which is at ** years old..(hahahh,cannot tell yaa..its a secret.but I could say that I became "mature" at my early age). I was not really into it when I was in both primary and secondary schools. nor hate wearing hijab. but I didn't feel the excitement of wearing it.I just knew that wearing a hijab is wajib.

Aside from hijab, covering the aurah is also wajib (compulsory to ALL MUSLIMS).I knew that since in primary school. and I even knew the parts that I have to cover. However, merely theoretical lessons in school were not enough. Its the practical that what I really need. However, the adults and the peers were not showing the truly right examples of hijab practicing and aurah covering. Actually, the situations were just like nowadays. It just that there was no 'Tudung Syria' and so forth back then. Some do wear hijab, but not lowering it till their bosom. Some wear hijab, but exposing their arms. Some wear hijab, but wearing legging????

Do you know why most people out there practice these?because the message is not reached. We were being taught in schools with just a piece of information about the parts that we need to cover without further explaining the proper way of doing it.Just like me myself, before entering this university. I was so jahil. I just knew I have to cover the aurah, with any piece of cloth. I NEVER knew that simply wearing the handsocks which shows the shape of my arm is not considered as covering my aurah.I did not know that wearing tight jeans for the muslim ladies does not cover the aurah..I did not know that my head scarf needs to be lowered till covering my bosom. huhu, now you know who I was back then.

And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and be modest, and to display of their adornment only that which is apparent, and to draw their veils over their bosoms, and not to reveal their adornment save to their own husbands or fathers or husbands' fathers, or their sons or their husbands' sons, or their brothers or their brothers' sons or sisters' sons, or their women, or their slaves, or male attendants who lack vigour, or children who know naught of women's nakedness. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And turn unto Allah together, O believers, in order that ye may succeed.
(The Qur'an, 24:31)

Alhamdulillah that I decided to reject the JPA offer after the SPM and that I decided to pursue my study in this university (and praise to Allah that I got the offer to enter this university out of many other). I am surrounded with nice people and being told with the right messages of covering the aurah. What is the right way to cover your aurah-for Muslimat? Here are the easy ones:
  • Lower your hijab till it covers your bosom.
  • Wear dress or shirt with long sleeves-say no to short sleeves+handsocks
  • Just wear slacks or long skirts rather than jeans.
  • Wear your mini scarf with your hijab..all the hair counted yaa
  • Say YEAHH to loose dress and shirts.
They are simple and easy.and comfortable also because you will have enough space to move around without those tight and small clothes. # This is to remind me as well -_-

Those who are small minded people would always find reasons of not covering their aurah, saying that this would just make us undeveloped. says who? instead, those who cover their aurah are more developed yaa.Remember, the men from the early ages like Paleolitic and Mesolitic people were not wearing any cloth or the proper one.so what makes us,wearing sufficient cloth to cover our body, undeveloped people?we are much more ahead!!! =)

So, let us all make some improvement to our way of dressing.Islam does not prohibit us to dress up,but it should be done modestly..Lets HIJRAH!!

Wake up Call!!!!

Salam 'alaik..

Alhamdulillah..I have finished my second exam paper yesterday,Tissue Culture..overall,hmm, the questions were not so hard.yaaaa, they were not to the extent that I could say HARD.but, due to my own negligence, unawareness and laziness -what else??- ,I faced some difficulties answering those questions..Kind of confuse while answering them.huhu....but again, alhamdulillah.Despite of my own mistakes, Allah still guided me in answering the questions.Alhamdulillah...Alhamdulillah...He is always by my side =)

See, human is full with forgetfulness. And even the knowledge that we have in our brain right now is not copyright-ly ours. They are all Allah's.But we always forget about that fact. Kind of reminding myself about it too. One thing for sure, I have answered the questions the best that I could.I realize that my effort in revising the course was not to the highest level that I could-actually, I could work even harder-Thus, it is a great reminder for me to work even more harder for the next three papers ahead.Whatever that I have done, how much that I have worked on for this subject, now tawakkal 'ala Allah...Pray for the best.Hopefully the result won't be bad. Also, hoping that I could double my effort for the next papers, insyaAllah and of course, revising and studying for the sake of Allah, to learn, to understand, not merely to score the exam.though exam is important as well.but, think ahead!! surely, you do not want to waste your energy memorizing things that you would forget right after the exam.
